Draper Electric Plane

My electric plane started to work intermittently and then not at all. I assume that the safety cut-out or the switch itself is faulty. This was quite a cheap plane so is it worth my while trying to replace the switch. My gut feeling tells me not to waste my time or money. Has anybody else replaced the switch on this type of plane? Thanks

I had a cheep brand tool, that broke, when I came to repair it, I found that it was a made by a major brand company, but to a cheep spec. Ther spares service was from the major brand company so was very good.

IIRC, Draper make nothing themselves, but simply brand bought in goods. Whether they supply spares, I've no idea. Or whether you might get the part from the original maker. But changing a switch is usually simple enough.

Have you tried 'wiggling' the wire where it enters the plane body. The wire may have broken down here and if so, it should be fairly easy to open up and remake the connections.
