I have been using a track (or plunge) saw recently for the first time.
It is great but I cannot cut a piece of material from end to end because of the clamps fixing the track and the work to the "bench". (My bench is comprised of a couple of pallets).
The result is finishing off with a handsaw. Exhausting work at the moment.
My next job is to cut a strip about 200mm wide from a 400mm board but only two thirds of the way down. I have to start by making a 200mm cut at right angles to the long cut. I cannot see a way of doing that other than by hand.
Unless someone knows better?
TIA, Alan
