I was asked to fit a set of three floating shelves someone had bought
Very peculiar fitting which seem to have a small expanding metal bit that g oes in the hole in the wall then you screw a threaded rod into that and som ehow then put the shelf on the threaded rod - only problem is the rod is a VERY tight fit in the hole in the shelf and MIGHT screw in but certainly wo uldn't push in
The instructions were not helpful:
They look fairly clear..
you drill a hole use a supplied tool to insert and expand the anchors remove the tool and fit the rods (screw in) push the shelf onto the rods.
How difficult it is is another matter.

probably because the wall isn't flat and/or the rods are not square to the wall and parallel to each other and/or you have the two rods too far apart or too close to each other (even by a few mm).
I bought a similar shelf where the rodes went in easily - it wobbles. Use a mallet to get the shelf onto the rods.
You may find that while the threaded rod feels like a very tight fit when you try to push it in by hand, once its firmly embedded in the wall, and you can now push on the shelf itself to drive it onto the rod, it might go in somewhat more easily.
