I've just taken down some lightweight polystyrene coving in a house I've just bought and am planning to replace it with some plaster coving in several rooms. In the past I've always used Gyproc coving but I've heard that Orac coving is a good alternative - apparently lighter and stronger. Any views on which is better would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Do you intend to throw eggs/objects at the coving then?
Did you take the polystyrene down because it was unsightly or the wrong design? I use paper covered polystyrene coving which looks just like Gyproc but is a cinch to cut and put up and is a lot cheaper. The non paper covered polystyrene looks terrible even when painted.
