coverage of play sand?

Anybody have a ballpark figure for coverage of play (sandpit) sand? i.e. what volume you get for a given weight.

1.5T/cumetre for building sand, I wouldn't imagine play sand to be much different.

Sorry John, that was a half remembered fact and was for cu yards.

This should be a bit more reliable:

Dry 1780kg/m3 Wet 1920 kg/m3 Compacted 2080 kg/m3

It depends how much cat crap it contains.

What's the size of the local pussy cat population?

BTW. Meakins sell it in bulk at quite a good price IIRC.

About 2 tablespoonfuls will provide enough sand to be sprinkled throughout a small family house for > 10 grains of sand to be found in every room once a month for the next seven years.
