I know of a guy who built his house - UFH to be fully heated by air source hear pump. When he moved in he simply could not get the house warm enough. Eventually he hired one of those floor standing lpg fueled hot air blowers. Once house was hot enough .. the ASHP could keep it running OK

Turned me away from having the same system ... and I used thermal store & gas boiler for my UFH.
