I would steer clear of people coming in to your home to try and sell you a boiler. Your best bet is to get a corgi plumber to give you a free quote for installation (anyone not willing to quote - avoid). To save you money, ask the plumber if you can buy the boiler yourself and whether he'll fit it for labour costs. Check what boiler you need - only a Corgi plumber can confirm whether your heating system would be too costly to reconfigure for a combi system.

If you need an A-rated system boiler, then consider the Ariston Aco boilers as they're a great buy from an excellent brand:

But the problem with that is the plumber can blame the boiler for any inadequacies, and the boiler retailer can blame the plumber. Getting the boiler on supply and fit means there's one person responsible for the whole installation.

I think quite a few non-corgi plumbers would be able to confirm that too. After all, it doesn't involve gas work.
