Clean Rubber

For some reason, I am not keen on the idea of eating off your dishes. :)

That doesn't reassure me.

it's only dog drool.

no, but in the end it's only a rubber ball. It's not rubber coated plastic, too heavy.

Who knows what people put in their dishwashers,

That nice couple you accept dinner invitations off may have lot of sex toys they bung up various bodily orifices which get a quick rinse in with the Teacups.

I once brought use of a communal dishwasher to a halt by putting a loo brush in the top tray alongside the mugs, the brush was brand new but had been aged by being splattered with some thick gravy.

It will be a solid rubber ball (not hollow or foamed), fairly standard for destructive dogs. You can adjust the hardness of rubber depending on the degree of vulcanisation, and the amount of filler.

IIRC dishwashers get hot enough to kill most pathogens (but personally I would use the washing machine, on a cotton wash).

wash in the washing machine didn't work at all. Googling was not helpful.

thod in future. No clue what sort of rubber it is. It's already been throug h the washing machine on cold, and while it helped it didn't do the job. I could try it in a very hot wash.

AIUI in a dishwasher physical removal gets rid of 99% of bugs, heat kills s ome then drying kills more.

Why are you trying to remove all the yummy taste from a dog?s ball? It?s

*supposed* to be covered in dried slobber and the remains of dog sh*t that it?s rolled through.

If it's lubricated it can be rather tricky to unroll it the wrong way. Not impossible, but certainly not as easy as the right way.
