It is difficult on Ebay to find out where it is being shipped from. Many Chinese sellers claim UK stock and shipping (with estimated 48hour Royal Mail delivery) but often when you get the item a week or two later it has been shipped directly from China.
No, just keeping some of the EU rules and something very unlikely to change as the Government's finances try to recover from the (extra) debt mountain that has been created during the pandemic.
I wonder if some of the international postal rules may soon change where countries/postal services honour the delivery of items from overseas but where the postal charge in the country of origin is a very small fraction of the cost of sending the same package in the the UK? Some Ebay Chinese sourced items (incl postage) are much less than a UK second class stamp.
