Carpet cleaner recommendation wanted.

Enough is enough, we need a carpet cleaner.I have never rated Vax, but have not used one in years maybe the new onesare better, had a Bissell until recently and it was a pile of crap, maybe wejust had a bad 'un.What other makes are there, I'm not arsed what it looks like, can theindustrial types be picked up at a reasonable price?Any recommendations would be appreciated.Oh, we have a dog, short haired (doberman).Cheers,Rick

It certainly did a very good job on our lounge carpet last year, but I did go over it 3 times, just in case.
