Buying loft insulation...

Any suggestions? I can't believe that B&Q is the best bet.. Preferably somewhere that delivers, since it'll be very bulky!

(And how much nowadays? 150mm? The wooly stuff, or something cleverer?)

Wickes?

Get Rockwool or similar, not glass fibre. Get thick stuff

Try a plumbers merchant, or 'phone around your local BMs. Roughly where are you?

I have always found wickes to be the best price. B&Q use the (rip off) branded stuff.

B&Q and Wickes are the same price, but on a 10% weekend at B&Q they are cheaper.

Wickes = £17.68 ea but 3 for 2 offer, = £11.78 ea. B&Q = 11.78 ea but on 10% weekend = £10.60 ea.

Is this weekend 10%?

For what, though? What material, thickness, length, width??

My local B&Q warehouse is shutting down in January (like many others) and last week had 50% off all insulation - also it was 10% off day.

Needless to say, by the time I got there the shelves were stripped bare but it *would* have been a good deal.
