What's the current recommended cable to get? I recall the ~£20 for 100m ct100 that screwfix sell being reasonably rated. This run isn't for a dttv feed although it would be nice if it would be sufficiently suitable at a later date.
Do B&Q or any other 'local' stores offer anything decent in 50/100m reels.

CT100 is ideal. Places like Maplin stock a compatible brand if you want a hight street supplier. You may find it in B&Q. It is easy enough to recognise when you find it - under the usual braided screen there is a second foil screen - copper on the better types.

Also, it can either be airspaced or foam dielectric. The foam type is easier to fit "twist on" type F connectors to, and is a little more tolerant of tight bends than the airspaced stuff.

All approved cable is stamped with its specification every metre. Look for EN50117. Don't touch anything not so marked.
