This household uses the lidl branded liquid and for around a month or two after the last lockdown they had little in the way of their own (washing machine) products - then non bio and a bit later the bio versions appeared. Its probably a short term supply problem and not a EU ban :)

More likely one of the "benefits" of Brexit. Not enough HGV lorry drivers to prevent random gaps from appearing on supermarket shelves. There is no obvious pattern as to what is missing in any given week. Larger out of town hyper/supermarkets seem to be much less affected.

The government will fix this for us by skimping on the crucial driving test for HGV and heavy lorries so that we can have loads more exciting accidents involving big trucks. This is a taste of the future:

Seeing more of these apparently random shortages - herbs and spices the other day in a Sainsburys megastore.

I might also ask the same about small tins of Heinz soup or children's microwave cottage pies and in some places some bread as well. The official answer seems to be transport problems due to a shortage of hgv drivers. I blame Brexit myself. Brian

Beeching springs to mind.

Which is why EU drivers have to decide between a) dealing with piles of Home Office paperwork and hundreds/thousands in fees to apply to work in the UK, or b) work in the EU where they can start today with no papers needed.

Tricky decision.

Martin Brown formulated the question :

Was that a UK or EU lorry, was the driver from the UK or EU..

Looks like they are choosing to become UK citizens instead

Is there a rule/law which says it must state it's biological or is it just a case of if it doesn't say it, it must be, since non-bio detergent is specifically labelled.

Why ?. Most of the lines shut carried very few passengers and BR had a published tariff for goods so all the new road haulage companies easily undercut them.
