Having had kardean floor fitted the is a small untidy gap between the floor and the plaster wall in the pantry. What would be the best product to make a satisfactory neat seal?

You can Caulk it flat and tight to the floor with a somewhat matching color of caulk...quite low-grade and ugly. Or and much more typically, you cover the gap with the same or similar skirting that's throughout the rest of your place...there are many choices from tall to short. If you want something different for that room, you can even use strips of the flooring itself on the walls' base or use a ceramic or stone tile...full tiles or border/bevel tiles.

Wickes sell a cork strip that will do the job nicely.
