Where can one find the local FM frequencies of Radio1,2,3 & 4 ? The only BBC internet site I can find only gives the frequency ranges in which they can be found.(eg Radio 4 between 90 - 95 MHz) I need to set the presets on a portable FM radio to whatever the frequencies are in the Marlow/Henley area, for someone who won't be able to set them herself when she gets there.

become apparent that I'm not actually tuned in to my nearest transmitter but the clearest. If you have spare buttons on the presets, I can see it might be useful to tune them in to some alternatives. I think I would plump for the frequencies on what the BBC call their main transmitter and then throw in a few local variants, just in case.

I find where we live (N1 London) that the best frequency for R4 can change day to day - sometimes it's best at 93.5, other times at 93.2 - not sure why.

I'd second that. Here in N. London the "best" frequency is different between the front and back of the house. Not a huge difference but it's a case of "a little hiss" vs "no hiss".
