Bathroom electrical zoning query

So SWMBO wants an illuminated make-up mirror in the shower room (one of those magnified things on a strut - these sort of things:

shower is built into a recess, ie there's a stud partition with a sliding door, creating a cubicle (see poxy ASCII-art floor-plan below)

________________________________ | door to outside | | | ||sliding door| | X|| | | || | | || shower | |__worktop/sink__||____________|

Now, the best position to place the new mirror would be at point "X", ie on the reverse side of the stud partition. However, I'm not very clear about the bathroom zoning regulations in this regard. Most of these mirrors that I have found seem to be IP rated for Zone 3, which means they need to be sited >60cm away from the bath or shower, right? In my case, position "X" would fail that test, if you were to take a tape measure around the bulkhead of the partition... but is that how the rules are interpreted? Clearly there would be no danger of splashing or water jets from the shower, as the appliance is 'around the corner'. Is that what 60cm means?

Thoughts please?!

Thanks David

(it did not scan that well) but the bottom right picture is your friend.

You knock off the thickness of your stud wall from the 60cm

Rats! Not the answer I wanted - but thanks a lot for clearing up that issue.

They were talking about you on the R4 'Today' programme this morning - or, rather, about people who begin everything with 'so' when it doesn't follow on from anything that's gone before.

Seems to be the current annoying habit - why do people do it? [Admittedly it's slightly less annoying than peppering sentences with 'like' at every opportunity such as "I was like walking down the road when I saw this like car coming towards me" etc.]

Also the equally idiotic "One does not tend to the colour brown when one is out trying to convey one's taste in shoe fashion?"

Overuse of "one" kind of rolls of the top of folks noses not too far from here, and probably features on R4 without complaint....

Zone 3 went from the regs in the 17th edition... but that is an aside.

Look at Adams scan, it sort of wraps around the corner, so you can probably manage without any difficulty.

(could do with some zone piccies in there really...)

Something I hear a lot on R4 are replies which begin "I mean...". If the speaker had already said something and thought they had not been clear enough, then it might make sense to start again with "I mean..."

One hears things like

I was like "how are you?" He was like "I'm ok."

Which I think means

I said "how are you?" He said "I'm ok."

But, there is also

I was like .

Which I think means

I don't care. (Or whatever the shrug, etc., is supposed to convey.)

Zone 1 if the panel is removeable without tools. Outside the Zones if the panel is only removeable with a tool(s).

Michael Schumacher was the first person I noticed that used "I mean" regularly as an intro. I don't know if he also said "Ich meine" and whether it has the same noise/preamble usage in German.
