Bath Damage

Whilst hacking off some blown plaster with a 4lb lump hammer, I dropped said hammer in the bath Dohhh.

2" hole in glass fibre that I managed to sort out with a car repair kit but a pink glass fibre repair in a cream coloured bath does not look the part. Is there any product that could be painted on to match the colour ? Otherwise new bathroom suite.

Where you one of the contenders on " the worst uk DIY'er"?

Did you not think of covering the bath with boarding?

"Hammerite enamel" dunno about matching it though?

The plastering is second to none !!

You need a colour-matched gelcoat. You can get little assorted packs of pigment to mix your own, or if you can identify the colour you can buy the right pigment or ready mixed gelcoat resin.

Also. Scuffing up the whole bath (wirebrush on angle grinder works very well) (use dust protection) means you can paint on the gelcoat of your choice to recolour the bath.
