I need to replace a 16mm automotive loom, tube crimp & battery terminals. It has been patched badly, heavily corroded, mangled terminals, caused no end of problems over the past few years. I already have suitable tyco crimps & tool, just lack the cable.
Options are
- Ancor - UL1426 - Tinned - 105oC PVC - 4 AWG (19mm) - =A38
- Lapp Kabel - H01N-2 - Bare copper - 85oC Neoprene PCP Rubber - 16mm
- =A35
- Generic - PVC Tinned copper - 70oC PVC - 16mm - =A33
Price wise the first two have free postage, last item =A34 postage.
I am surprised people use 70oC PVC for automotive use, typically 105oC dominates.
Conversely is H01N-2 rubber suitable, I thought that was welding?
Using the UL1426 105oC 4AWG does require strands to be cut to convert AWG to Metric crimp.
