Artificial brick textured panelling ?

May 04, 2008 11 Replies

I've been searching for sheets of artificial brick textured sheets. You know the sort of thing - I think they used to come in 4' x 4' sheets, perhaps 3 or 4 mm thick and looked just like a brick wall.

B&Q used to stock them but I haven't seen them there for a few years, and I've not been able to turn up anything on the net.

Anybody know where I can source them, or similar textures?

Cheers, Neil

Well I remember the panels as a local pub had some but

Time to get the router out if you have one and aquire 1/2" sheets of MDF. ;-)

Yea that's a thought - but it would be much easier and probably a better effect to acquire the factory produced ones. :)

True, but like wallpaper these things go out of fashion and no longer get stocked or sold. ;-)

Yep - looks like that's what's happened in this case. I just thought somebody might know where it can still be found.

Many thanks all, Neil

Can't help with that, but I have some flying ducks....

Just this minute found a sample of the board I'm describing - blast, it's in the USA - but that's the stuff!

:-) router and MDF phase 2,take a good photo of a few bricks, print em out(loads of em,and stick on MDF brick panel.

;-)

:-D you just love that router - don't you! Sounds like it might work - but not for me. I'm looking for the easy route :¬|

I certainly do love me routers, made a nice big doll's house outta MDF complete with external architecture and brick facia. ;-)

Maybe you could use an angle grinder instead?
