Any still use Skarsten wood scrapers ?

Seems they went out of business quite some time ago so now I cannot easily find replacement No 62 blades.

Does anyone still use one, and what are the alternatives ?. It is (was) a handy tool for removing rough flaky paint before setting to with 'sand' paper because it keeps your hand away from sharp paint flakes.

I quite like the Bahco scraper I bought. There are vaious ones on ebay.

I still use one occasionally and have a few unused blades, but I normally use a Linbide (sp?) scraper, and cabinet scrapers for fine work or in awkward spaces.

There are places on eBay selling other brands which are supposed to be equivalent. For example:

Like you, I use a cabinet scraper for proper jobs. I use the ordinary spring steel chisel-type paint scraper for decorating and diy.

PS I have no idea how those -erme- "Related Sponsored Items" at the bottom of the page got there.

I ran out of blades ages ago, now using bahco scrapers

Haven't you heard there's an electron shortage?
