amazing new socks

You mean you've got Wednesday paired with AIMB Sunday?

What I do when SWMBO gives me a pile of single socks to put away is to pick the pairs out at the time, and keep any unpaired ones in another drawer. Then when I get the next stack, after the pairing up I see if any of the left-overs match the previous set of left-overs. That usually does the trick mostly, and any still left over get stored again for next time.

I culled my old socks & replaced them with 12 identical pairs...

That's his story.

Back to the OP's problem. He has just woken up in the wrong century.

Inelestic stay-ups have been on sale for 2 or 3 quid a pack of three pairs for most memories except his. Too late to go back to sleep of course but if his problems are compounded by swollen flesh, he is suffering from food al lergies brought about by a lack of antiscorburetics in his diet. Knocking o ff the cheese and carbohydrates when the weather is inclined to vorticity w ill be of benefit.

As will OD-ing on vitamic C tables (99p for 70 at cheap shops everywhere.) As will opening one's eyes -more often than not, too; neither. Time to star t considering medication for arterial sclerosis a swell.

Ah, what really p's me off is having pairs in a pack! No, not illogical: several time I've bought a pack of socks, nominally identical, only to find that they're of somewhat different lengths and, sneakily, sometimes differing 'volumes'. Instead of just having 6 socks, any 2 of which will be a pair, I have 3 pairs which, if mixed up, can be a couple of inches out on length when on. The 'volume' part is difficult to sort - sockses ain't the most well-defined of shapes.
