Additional UPVC door security

I'd like to beef up my back door security. It presently has a 6 pin eurolock that I fill up with anti-bounce occasionally. Looking on Ebay I came across these, but they look far too flimsy, attached with just a couple of screws - even if you put one top and bottom.

even fleetingly toyed with the idea of through bolts, with nuts on the inside ! Hss anyone come up with an alternative to add some kind of bolting arrangement ?

Replace the existing eurolock with an anti-bounce equivalent, then with a multipoint door there should be no need for additional bolts. IIRC Ironmongery Direct stock them.

They look like a good improvement. I've asked if they do a 35/45. Thanks

Great unless you lose your key!

What's "anti-bounce"? [I've googled, but I'm not in the market for a sports bra.]

I must admit I wasn't aware of 'bumping' a lock like the one on my back door. I'll replace the lock as soon as I can, but in the meantime would leaving the key in and turning it (so a blank can't be pushed in from the outside) work?

might be able to find it cheaper. It's the first one I found.

Yes, I guess leaving a key in the lock would be OK, but of course no good when no one's at home.

Does it actually work? i.e. Have you tried a bump key before and after application?
