Is it ok to use 4mm clear acrylic sheet for soffits? How long would it survive with no direct sunlight? It would be in contact with treated timber and pvc fascia.

If you mean by "no direct sunlight" in the dark deep shade then it should be OK, but if you mean with only indirect light from a blue sky then the UV content will be high enough to cause trouble (yellowing and brittleness) unless it is UV inhibited exterior grade (usually on one surface). Other plastics would probably be both cheaper, more suitable for this job and much easier to work with.
Thin acrylic sheet is somewhat brittle when sawing it. Why would you want to be able to see through the soffit?
