!8" 15w T8 tube.

Got a fairly old shaver light (with isolating transformer) Still works, but the tube ends are very 'black' (it's a quick start type).

The tubes seem difficult to get these days - TLC don't seem to stock them. Ebay seems to point at US suppliers. Or specialist ones like for fish tanks.

Ideally, be nice to replace it with an LED tube. But again, can't seem to find one which would fit. Warm white would be ideal. Realise it would need a re-wire for LED.

Probably easier to replace the fitting with an LED one.

One of our kitchen under cabinet lights failed, it seemed to be poor connection in the tube. I forget the size, maybe 18? ( there were several fittings of different sizes). Like you, I couldn?t find a replacement and, when another one failed several years back, I struggled then.

I found a suitable modular system on Amazon which would replace the old lights, including a short one under a corner cupboard, all LED.

Senior Management loves them.

There is no shortage of fittings on Amazon and/ or EBay.

Thanks. I was hoping for somewhere local I could collect from - rather than pay a minimum charge and postage. And B&Q will do just fine for that.

18in of LED tape and a 12v psu should notbe a challenge

Not worth the effort. But would look odd if it didn't light up evenly all the way round.

Someone at least, tried to make such a thing, but the reviews don't look all that good for it. And it is now out of stock.

While their photography skills may be wanting, this one is similar. Still hard to get all the details exactly right.

Do you get a lot of faulty LED tape?

Do you know what LED tape even is?

Yes. Your silly question doesn't answer the question of course
