Had septic pumped, lid. Cracked across top. Lid has tabs that sit atop opening with cutout for the lid tabs to align and snap down and twist tight. Tank fiberglass with center opening,1000 gallon.unable to know manufacturer or get replacement from local suppliers. The lid does not have a riser, only tabs on top to help twist on and off. Ive got to resolve tank exposed to rain without a tarp over area. How do I find lid or fix.so far local supplier checked and offered one that had 20 in lid that had screws to secure,no way to fasten to tank. Where else can I go.so far looked and many pictures on internet but none like mine.

You can bridge the crack with a piece of wood and screw through the lid into the wood on each side of the crack to restore the lid's strength. Or, you (or an Ornamental Iron shop) can make a new lid out of painted steel or raw aluminum diamond plate by using the original lid as a template.

- Iron Shops are pretty cheap or you might find a welding neighbor or Auto Collision shop that will do or help with the fabrication. Don't panic and you should probably use an upside down trashcan over the hole instead of a tarp....even a metal trashcan lid can have locking ears bolted or riveted onto it as a temporary lid.
