Someone has posted a message in a local ( Glasgow) newsgroup saying that they heard Screwfix are opening a shop locally .I've never heard of any Screwfix shops ...Has anyone else .?? Stuart
I bought 500ml in the pound shop, mainly because I needed the nice clean spout. Same consistency as EvoStik and the rest, but that isn't always an indication of solids content.
Yep, I remember them, buttons and knobs that would fall off in the shop !!!! Not quite the solid machined aluminium of Musical Fidelity stuff !!! My god how I hate bad HiFi :-(
A shop is better when you only have an outline idea.
In the 1920s you probably had to take the 2V accumulator (that powered the valve filaments) down to the local bicycle shop to be charged. Unless you had a cat's whisker...
Best to contact a local cabinet maker or joiner shop, and ask them to make them for you. The price for a load of the amount you want may surprise you.
Epoxy or polyester resins are both happy if you colour them with a small quantity of artist's acrylics, as purchased cheaply from any craft shop. Plenty of other suitable dyes too.
Take a sample to a wood shop with a spindle cutter and get as much as you'll ever need made (the setting up is expensive and it's then cheap per metre)
So shop around whatever you get.
