I haven't seen colored taps offered by the manufactures, but you could have some plated by a shop. The anodizing process can "plate" other colors besides gold and silver. MM

I agree, I have several old Stanley planes from eBay and one #8 from a local junk shop, all excellent buys and quality. 'Cept I dislike the #6 type 8.
occasional over spray does to my jointer outfeed table which is positioned a little too close to the shop overhead door where I often spray shellac outside on good days.
