Agreed - it is almost entirely pointless viewing by shop lighting except as a starting point. The mixing is usually spot on or extremely close - unless an actual mistake is made.
And the wind blows the rain off the chain all over the shop? And as they tend to be copper, they'd disappear in the back of a drop-side transit ...

For things like my TV I've written my postcode on the back (out of normal sight) in pound shop superglue. Yes it can be filed off, but not without trace.

If it is a small pair you need a fishing tackle shop or on-line supplier may have them as this is where a pair I had came from . Stuart

My local small stationary shop had them last time I looked. Luckily I've got a stock from tape editing days. ;-) Including a super propelling one - but can't get re-fills.
Yes, cheap forstner bits from TNPs favourite shop would be much better or even a spade drill in a powered drill. The spiral is too coarse for a fast speed.
