Table top update

Update of the table top, I am quite pleased with how it has turned out so far considering I hadnt a clue what I was doing. The (bed) slats are just laying on top for the moment and will need proper spacing. I am planning on 1/8 - 1/4 inch gap between slats.

Warped top advice

The 18.5 inch pine top, composed of two wide boards edge glued, has warped significantly over the years. I am suggesting ripping it in half to fit 13" planer, plane flat, reglue with biscuits, and breadboard the ends. He just wishes to try to sand, moisten, flatten with weight, and ...

table top frame

What is a good way to flatten the legs and apron so they are flat and mate well with the table top. My joinery is less than perfect and there are slight gaps of about 1/16"when I lay the top on the frame. The table is a small end table.

cherry table top

since this table will be used daily I was wondering if it will have light spots on it from things left on top and the light not hitting it. in that case should i use color it with amber shellac or stain and use something that will inhbit the light from changing the color?

MDF Desk top

The desk top will be supported all the way across the front and back edge. Is a single layer of MDF going to work as a desk top or should I double it? The desk top will have a small TV on one end and a computer in the middle. Thanks for all the input on clamps.

Tablesaw top query

Folks - Do any of you know if it's possible to get surplus tablesaw tables or cast sidewings? I am thinking they'd make a dandy router table? I can't be the first to think of this.... John Moorhead

Table top stability

The question is whether it would be better to glue up in 6" widths or rip down to 3" for the table top. The top will be 48" diameter. Thanks,

Table top warp

I built a mahogany table with a 60" round top back in the summer for our church. It has recently turned off cold with low humidity and the top is curling down on the sides.
