Substitute for outdoor garbage can lid

My waste hauler supplies big roller cans that the truck lifts and dumps automatically - no charge 'cuz it easier/faster for them. The hinged lid stays permanantly attached. Have you asked your hauler about that option?

I usually find where the line dumps outside and use a wet vac.

Alright, swampers

Don't know the actual name right off, but it is a pump, very similar to the cooler pump that dumps the water in the tray once a day to prevent mineral buildup. $40 or so. Steve

Ins question - home damaged by vehicle

I agree with Edwin over the insurgents hack job guys, I had a mishap with a car and the insurance wanted THEIR bodyshop to do the work, I said no, and they said they would only pay a percentage of the repair if not done by their shop.

Oil-Gas mix question

Go to a motorcycle shop and buy a Ratio Rite. It is a little cup that measures the proper amount of oil for whatever mix and fuel amount you're working with. I'll say it again just in case: Go to a motorcycle shop and buy a Ratio Rite.

Eyeglass specifications

I took the lens to a little repair shop and they found an inexpensive frame that fit the lens. Such inexpensive frame just broke the other day. Safilo Elasta 1056/N was "discontinued", hasn't been available for years.

The owner of the shop might actually be breaking the law here then... Was the builders` gaff split off and sold off by the shop ? If it was there should be something about services to the property, and if not, I would imagine there would be an implied easement in place.
