I shop the dollar store for certain items but would never buy something that needs to be ingested. Beef jerky, for example, may be dog jerky.
"jaws of life" A "porta-power" is a slightly smaller lighter duty version for shop use. You can get spreader heads and all kinds of attachments.
We have a local shop who rebuilds starters, alternators. Often they have one in stock or will rebuild yours.
This is my favorite: I also own the original Veritas, a General, some no name jig that holds the edge, and some shop made guides. Barry
