I'm about to run some conduit and wiring in my garage for additional AC outlets. I'm fine with the basics but I want to allow for a 220V outlet for that new tablesaw I hope to have one of these days. I want to run hot wires from two different breakers and alternate 110 outlets between the two ...

The fact that I'm capable of designing and printing a card that is the equal of anything sold in a shop[1] isn't apparently a bonus point either. Nor is having the foresight to have photo-quality card stock in my stationery cupboard and having an adequate supply of ink ...

4 Gal air compressor opinions??????

I have both a Porter Cable oil-free 6 gal pancake compressor and a Harbor Freight oil-lubed 5 gal twin tank. The PC is, IMO, unbearably loud for home shop use. I'll usually switch it on it on, leave the shop for a few minutes while it pumps up, and hope it doesn't kick in again ...

damn cold to go in the shop, I decided to try my hand at "Sketchup" ... pretty cool concept, but the free one is certainly is not the one to design furniture with AFAICT.

In between projects AND Cast_Iron_Protection

Probably depends on local climate and I image the shop space itself but here in the NW a coat of Johnson paste wax keeps my cast iron tops rust free(as well as hand saws etc.)...once or twice a year I suppose for lightly used tools or when the spirit moves....basement shop ...
