On another thread here, I see that there is a question about shop vacs. Am I correct in assuming that the advantage of a shop vac would be that it just picks up larger particles, but that it wouldn't necessarily have better suction for fine particles? Thanks for any advice.
I intend to run an underground feeder wire (approximately 150') from my home service panel to a subpanel for a shop that I'm building in my back yard.
I smile to myself sometimes when I see a lighting display in a shop, and the shop have fitted candle or golfball lamps inappropriately... It's because the lampholder will overheat, and the solder on the lamp base may soften and 'solder' the lamp into the lampholder.
If like me you have a local phone repair shop you could take it there. They probably won't charge if they can't repair it. I had an Android phone that would not boot, after trying to get it to work myself, I tried a local repair shop and they could not fix it either.
What are you trying to do with the shop vac? I shop vac standing water out, and run the faucet for a bit. Once water pools again, I vac it out. Takes 3-4 iterations, then it opens up.
If you can fix a single pane and this happens to be a stationary glass, take it out and carry to a local glass/glazing shop. They can fix you right up Then put it back in. Be careful, the glass can break further and hurt you.

I have just swapped 10 50W halogen spot lights with 4.5W cool white LEDs at the local pizza shop. I am not usually a fan of cool white but it has altered the shop lighting and we did a trial run to make sure they liked the colour.
MY cable company makes it very clear that they will charge you if you want to use a modem from the thrift shop that they own here. It will be the same as renting you a new one. No problem with previously privately owned modems. The comcast one went back to the thrift shop.
I'm paying £27 including carriage for an oven element, the manufacturer's spares shop wanted to charge £48. A local electrical wholesaler stocks a limited range around the £10 mark, but not my model :( £35 for a double grill element would sound about right for my oven.
