doubling attic insulation - does it help?

Previous sites provided will give you optimal R values for your Zone., Also check out Owens Corning, Dow, and other R value energy sites. Im Zone 5 , Code is R 35, optimal is stated at several sites R 60 - 70. I did R 100 and it has settled to R 80.

Home computer problem

Furthermore, I can not get to any site that references any of those search engine sites. Using a friend's computer, I have searched every place I can find. I see where others have had this problem, and some have fixed it. I tried all their solutions to no avail.

Does your electrician have OCD?

Most of these sites where people can post photos, are the worst. (Photobucket and similar). They just wont work without scripts..... Going back 10 years or more, almost all webpages which were simply text and video would load fairly well, and within a few minutes or less, in dialup.
