Can I install a sub panel in a room with a carpeted floor? Or hardwood floor?

NEC only refers to non combustible floor but does not define non combustible. NEC says must be non combustible flooring. Would a carpeted floor or hard wood floor be permitted? I would like to put the sub panel in a hallway or guestroom.

Cleaning paint-roller pans

Have also used those prewashed salad bins as handy disposable paint trays for smaller rollers. As for rollers, for latex paints I use microfibre rollers now. Easy to wash with cold water. Pressure washer is a unique idea but I dunno if I'd wanna set-up all up for 2 or 3 minutes ...

Raccoons under the deck

I put a couple of heavy things on the top of the garbage bins which are supposed to be critter resistant any way. The pups look to be fairly big, so it appears that they have been hanging around there for awhile w/o us even knowing.

Bins of nails and screws. All kinds of stuff, I could hang out for quite a while. I buy what I can there because I don't want to see the place go, not that they're hurting for customers. nancy

Maybe some people have better things to do, some employ cleaners some even get their bins cleaned some even pay someone in a laudrette to clean and iron stuff.

Vermicomposting In Winter

I've had my worms in plastic bins with shredded newspaper bedding. A couple of times when I've had them indoors in the winter there's been a plague of flying insects from the boxes. This happened early last winter and I put them outside where I assumed the cold would kill the worms.

Butt joint glue up without clamps?

I've made slatted crudeware (ventilated storage bins) by putting #20 biscuits into #0 slots before now. OTOH, it must look terrible. I'd re-saw, re-joint and re-assemble. Find pictures of a "Plano" glue-up clamp, then make yoru own workshop copy of it.
