Riser blocks or not?

I'd recommend them.. shop around and you'll find a deal.. I put the grizzly riser kit on my Ridgid 14" and it works great.. Besides resawing, having that extra 6" also adds open area for light and clearance for add-on tables and jigs..

Shop Lights Revisited - Direct Wire Replacement LED Tx Tubes - Dimmable

I paid $40 for a 4' LED shop light at HD a few weeks ago, which is the same price as the 2 LED tubes. That was a replacement for a hanging shop light in my garage.

Seeking Opinions: Oneida's Dust Gorilla

Call Oneida, and ask them if it will be suitable for your shop. I have one of the 3 hp systems, and it is a wonderful piece of machinery. Oneida is very helpful with duct layout. I have a 860 sq. ft shop, and with the 3 hp, I can run two machines at once.

A Warning to Potential Newbies

I was out in the shop a week or 2 ago, because I had to do an inventory. I figured out that my shop is worth as much as my house. It aint much of a house, but it is a very nice shop, especially if it was about twice the size it is now. Well, maybe 3 or 4 times the size.

Dust collection with the Delta Drum Sander

I have a Delta Drum Sander and I've been using it with my big shop vac hooked to its dust collection port. The shop vac's filter clogs up so frequently that it is just not the way to go as far as dust collection.

cast iron kettle

It sets in my shop on my shop woodburning stove and is used to humidify the room. It is a conversation piece to some minor degree but earns its keep as a humidifer.

Actual price/gallon for 12% Hasa Pool Chlorine (for SMS and the Silicon Valley)
