Phone in the shop?

When we changed from a hard-wired phone system to a set of wireless handsets powered by Vonage, I lost my phone-triggered flashing light in the shop. What do you guys do to hear, or see, that the phone is ringing?

Semi-OT: shop heater

I've got a small well insulated shop that I've heated for many winters using a portable 1500 watt electric heater. Each heater lasted 2 or 3 years and cost somewhere in the $15-$30 range. This year my old one died so I went shopping.

New Garden Swap Shop!

It's called the Garden Swap Shop and on there you can list items you have available to swap/sell or just simply give away!

New additions to shop.

I wanted a sink in the shop to clean up paint brushes, dump and replenish water from my sharpening stones, other things. I can't have a sink connected to the water, or septic without paying a huge tax increase.

Solid Counter top for the DIY

If you need something less than a full sheet, why not visit your local fabrication shop? I found one locally who sold me a 3' x 5' "scrap" piece of Corian for $50. It's enough to get me through 2 largeish projects (router table and kitchen island).

Tool tote and or chest drawer hardware

If it was me, making a chest to hold tools, and be able to wrestle into the back of a truck to take to a job site, I'd make something along the line of what my grandfather had. It was a large chest, probably about 4' wide, about 3' front to back, anc probably something over 2' high. Locking ...

The UPS arrived

I was talking to my son-in-law a few days ago, about things wood working an d discussing his plans for his new shop (20x24, raised floor, 2x8 flooring, 20v wiring, lighting, heat and a/c - new everything ).
