PINsentry.

What I could do is provide a service for you where you ping me an email containing your 16 digit number, sort code, account number, CVV number and PIN number and I'll send you a code by return.

Identification problem

suppliers *must* NOT store your CVV number in their database they must validate the CVV number, at point of sale (and now they have to go through the CC two factor authentication) if they don't, the loss falls to them, so what do I care?

RFID credit/debit cards

A magnetic stripe card contains the card holder's name, the credit card number, the expiration date, and the credit verification value (CVV). Grab that information (which is childishly easy to do with magstrip cards) and the card can then be cloned and used anywhere.

OT ish Micro USB thingys?

You have an ID chip in there that you have to pay apple to use. Its just another way to make apple users pay as the chip doesn't do anything useful and makes the cable less reliable.

Debit card fraud (OT, a bit long)

It is clearly a major breach of security if they give out the CVV number and expiry date of your new card to third parties! I suspect what they mean is a week or two after they send out your new card they process any long term continuing payments against it.

Changes to bank web security

s not true of purchases in shops using apple pay, google pay or samsung pay. They all work fine with no mobile phone signal at the time of paying.
