I found my local independent bathroom small shop to be very competitive on prices when factoring the free local delivery against the £20/40 on-line delivery prices.

Transmission Problem?

Once again, my free diagnosis and recommendation was correct: "I would probably clear the codes, then if it's set again, take it to a transmission shop. It sounds like a solenoid problem and those can be easily replaced and it's not expensive."

Electric vs propane

SHOP AROUND for propane, most places will set up thier tank for free. go here to compare http://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.cfm?id=8&t=5 Standard electric heat pump might be OK. Do you have a 200 amp service to the house now? Remove 333 to reply. Randy

What to do with those "fillers" in box cabinets

I came up with some free cabinets and installed them in my kitchen but since ther were pre-made boxes I ended up with some dead space. The cabinet guy said to just put in a filler piece. I wasn't willing to lose the space. (the new counter top is still in the shop).

Unisaw questions

I have decided to go with a 50" Unisaw for my shop. It seems that Amazon has a good price on the 36-844. It will run $1750, plus free shipping and mobile base. I was wondering how much assembly is involved when it comes, not counting calibration. Will it fit through a 36" doorway? ...

Leaks in Air Compressor Lines - Black Iron Pipe

I probably redid 80% of the joints by the time I was done, and all appears to be leak free. Whatever pipe sealant they sold my at Home Depot you can wipe your arse with. Now that the system is up and running, it's time to shop for nailers. Joe

Is an air filter necessary

My (shop built) ambient air cleaner has a final filter rated for .3 microns. I still won't do anything even remotely dusty without my respirator on. I got my first set of lungs free. But once you're hooked on breathing, the price goes up for the second set. Bill

How to drive hole saw

I have the luxury of a mate who owns a hire shop wot is also a Makita service centre, I just take stuff in & he sorts it. Cost me a score all in. Very handy, no deposit hire & free delivery on plamt as well. Its not what you know its who you know etc.
