How can we tell from a WiFi card spec whether the NIC is 2.4GHz or 5GHz, or both?

Keep in mind some WiFi card in HP laptops are white listed. You can't install(or upgrade) with any WiFi card. BIOS won't allow it. I use OpenOffice and it is free. Don't have to use word or excel.

v for frequency?

I have a "happy meal" card that gets me a free loaf of bread after I've bought 10. It's not worth skimping on bread, which is nearly the only starch I eat. It's hard to compare; I've never looked at the produce at our Costco. We eat apples and bananas.

Screwfix and CORGI

Are you aware of any shop that is likely to have to face "all black people" (by which presumably you mean every black person in the UK) wanting to buy goods from them? If the shop refuses to sell to one person on the basis of their skin colour that is racial discrimination.

dust collector how'd I live without it

My Dad and Grandfather both were serious woodworkers and neither had Dust Collectors in their shop... Both smoked, drank and enjoyed life..(wink wink) and both lived to their late 80's... Like you I installed DC's and air filters in my shop when I was in my early 50's....

Here we go then ! Finally opening on Monday ....

Spending a little time with Google Webmaster Tools (free) can help pump prime a site into Google. Also, adding Google Analytics (also free) will get a good breakdown of how the site is used.

Newbie Corner: Electricity, Lighting, Ventilation

I'm still building up my shop and I will have to add lighting and outlets for-sure. My total lightnig right now is one (1) light bulb and there is one (1) duplex 120V socket. Once the new walls goes up, there'll be no ventilation from the central blower.

OT Has anyone in the group ever had to verify your signature on a credit card receipt?

On a European trip I had a Visa card stolen. I called the issuing credit union from there. When I got home there was only one charge made the day of the theft that I had not made. The CU had the original slip. I was asked to sign my name five times.
