Brit plumbers are TOSSERS

A bit like Greece, where they all have little bins for the toilet paper. I'm sure it is a cultural difference. I knew loads of Greeks at (a British) university.

Just finished a hardware storage cabinet

I found some of those plastic hanging bins that fit a 1-lb box of nails/screws/whatever. Since that's what I buy almost exclusively, I just drop the box into the bin, label the front, and when I empty the box, I buy another one.

Design for my garage shop

I like to store stuff in plastic bins. When I go on location I just grab the bins that I need. I make rolling cabinets with shelfs to hold the bins. I make their heights to match my saw. I combine them to make work tables as needed. A tall ceiling is wonderfull.

OT Web site contact boxes

This is just not true - we include email addresses, complete with mailto: links on all our sites. Sure, we get some spam, but our spam filter takes care of most of it. Some of the sites in question are very high traffic, high ranking sites.

Steam Mops and Cleaners on Hardwood

He dumps a bunch of dirt on the floor and announces that he will eat anything the vacuum cleaner leaves beh"You better start eating son, because we don't have any electricity".

Help! Home, One Room AC Unit

If you have it in the room, it dumps all the heat into the other side of the room. So, with the AC on the table, the net effect is to make the one side of the room cooler, and the other side warmer.

OT what is that vibrating sensation you get when you lightly touch the metal on a mains appliance?

It dumps a large voltage pulse to earth and measures the resistance by checking what current flows in that split second. But they're expensive, so not really worth it for a DIY toolbox. So most would get an electrician in to do it for them.

How do you clean your wet/dry vacuum cleaner filter?

use a towel] I also just bang it out inside a garbage can every couple of dumps. Jim
