Would like to ask if anyone might know where to get Russet apple trees here in ontario. The ones we had in 1960 were brownish colored, very rough skinned but great for baking and cooking. Would they survive the winter in the Lindsay, Ontario region?? Thanks very much for any replies.
The Oak Apple is just one of the better known ones. There are plenty more, most likely on your tree right now that you just haven't noticed... Remember they are interested in the Oak tree, not you ;-)
Keep having to remind people that I live in "New Yawk", but over 400 mi. from the "Rotten Apple"! There's a LOT more to NY than that collection of a**holes living in that sewer @ the mouth of the Hudson River. Rant/off. Nahmie
The other week it was $3000 lathes vs powered apple corers. You'll also recognize alot of the people. Dave in Fairfax
I've got a large rack of limbs of elm, mayday, apple, ash, willow, box elder, birch... Co-op Hardware on 8th has rough cut red oak at a decent price that I use from time to time.
Others have guessed apple corer and chemist scoop for number 11, neither of these is correct although the word scoop is part of the right answer. Rob
Procida" wrote in message news:1k9k8t6.ravqkk1k89gk5N% snipped-for-privacy@apple-juice.co.uk... The lidl pre-charged ones are OK and only £3 for four AA cells. They still have them in my local Lidl. Like all the other pre-charged ones I have seen they are only 2100 mAHr.
Depends on fermentation temperatures. 95F (35C) and it can finish overnight (apple juice is about 13% sugar vs. grape juice at 26% and up.) Still, you need a hydrometer to tell you where you are or put it in a refrigerator, 40F - 32F (4C - OC) (and start drinking it now :O)
(it's not a big deal to switch browser in many cases, but Mac users may not realise their Safari is out of date and can't be updated to the latest, beyond security patches that Apple issue from time to time) Theo
