Shop Heat Update

Posted the other day about my Mr Buddy heater for my shop. Today was the first I'd even used it for several days, and the longest I've used it so far. Unfortunately I forgot to check the exact tem pin the shop when I got out there. It was well below 40 F, that's all I can say.

insulate shop attic

I need to insulate the garage/shop attic. I have about 500 SF of attic space to insulate and the joists are 2x12 on 16" centers. I'm trying to decide between cellulose and fiberglass. From what I can determine, cellulose will be cheaper to install and may perform better.

Reoganized the shop

Got a proper dust collector (JDS w/ 1 micron cannister) and had to bump out a wall a bit to make a little area for it and the shop vac. Rearranged the tools to get the drum sander, band saw, and edge sander close to the dust collector as I'm not ducting it all over the place.

Woodsmith Shop.... duh.

Is it just me or is the Woodsmith Shop on PBS aimed at complete beginners. I don't think I've ever learned anything from watching that show other than how we mid-westerners like to mispronounce words like, "acrossed." :-)
