Wiring Garage/shop

Shop layout IDEALS!!

I'm putting up a 32x24 shop. Id like some Ideals on laying the inside out. If anybody has any pictures on a neat lay out send them to me. I want a built in work table.Im just thinking somebody has a sweet layout of a place for everything. Send me some Pic or Ideals.

Fixed shop vac

My old craftsman shop vac started to smell "hot", like the motor was burning out. I removed the top cap over the motor, and verified that the brushes were fine. On further inspection, I discovered that there were two wires that had broken loose from their commutator connection.

220 to shop

Got a shop close to the house with 100ft of 10-2 wgrnd going from fuse box to shop. How big a 220 breaker can I use in the main panel in the house? How big a 220 outlet in the shop? Guess I should put in a disconnect panel in the shop?

New Shop Dog

About 10 days ago was standing outside the shop shed and a brown dog came up. She was licking the sprinkler drops off the grass, and acted extremely friendly. I got a container and gave her some water and she drank about a quart.

Shop Dog Update

She is still the perfect shop dog. Found the puppies, she had two. Both males. Gave one away after they were weaned. Keeping the other one in case Curly does not survive the heartworm treatment. Treatment starts Monday. Keep your fingers crossed.

New Shop Wiring?

Building a new shop, 24 x 24. Floor will be concrete. How practical is it to put electrical outlets in the floor for stationary machines, TS, bandsaw, etc? If not in the floor how would one recommend getting power to machines set in the middle of the shop.

Shop Wiring Suggestions

From here I am going to run a 100 amp subpanel to support new outlets in the shop. The current drawing I am working on can be see here: http://www.hms3.com/images/basement.jpgI plan on running at least 1 240v outlet for a table saw.
