Delta bandsaw questions

Computers are interesting: consider the Apple Macintosh 512k, introduced in September of 1984, it sold for $3,195. Today that would mean $6005 big ones. The new Mac Mini has a 1.25 GHz processor and goes for about $800 with a 17" monitor, keyboard and mouse.

More on flourescents

Apple refurb stuff I've bought seems to be tested (they often have a test sheet in with them) and then repackaged in plain brown packaging instead of the glossy box. Full warranty and stuff though - I've been impressed (and saved a fair bit :-)) Darren

How do you filter the water from your kitchen sink?

Or apple juice in half gallons, or even sodi pop or ice tea in bottles. All are reuseable. And the bottles are comparatively free because they have to package the liquids in something.

When is a lead-acid battery charged?

Procida" wrote in message news:1j7bn2j.1ee7orr2z34j3N% snipped-for-privacy@apple-juice.co.uk... For a cheapie charger, the best indication is terminal voltage. When it's more that 14V, I'd disconnect the charger. 13.5V is too low, and the battery won't have been fully charged.

Is it too late to salvage my apples?

My pet bunnies complete chew the bark around several apple trees. If I make cuttings now and stick them in the ground, is there much chance they'll root? They just started leafing. Would I be much better off just buying dwarf varieties at the nursery?

relocating to California

I guess she thought -- any bugs on the plants cannot survive such a long journey on interstate 10 .... 8) Probably in Texas right now there is no pending bug problems (like California Med flies, or Washington apple maggots) and the agent doesn't mind that much.

Dwarf fruit in containers

It is interesting... in the UK when we think of fruit trees we think Apple, Pear and Plumb, and sometimes Cherry. All the US answers to this question have referred to Orange, lemon, peach, apricot etc all fruit that we would regard as greenhouse crops.

Shortages and rationing

Give a child an apple and a rabbit and it will play with the rabbit and eat the apple. If on a desert island and without the conditioning, at what point do you think it would think to eat the rabbit? Cheers, T i m

OT; Wireless Tablet

I had just spent £2795 on an Apple Macintosh SE with a tiny 9" black and white screen, and £4295 on an Apple Laserwriter NT, a Postscript laser printer with a mere 300 dpi, so funds were scarce.
