if i go back to shingle can i put a barrier shield
im needing a new roof im not sure to go back with shingle or metal my roof

Metal is much better in everyway, go with metal. Asphalt or even wood shingle would need to be spaced from a radiant barrier in order for the radiant barrier to work. More money and more work for an inferior product.
