Kew 1500 Hobby

My rather old Kew 1500 Hobby pressure washer has been playing up recently, taking some time for the pressure to build up and then losing pressure for 20 - 30 seconds several times during operation. Now,although water comes out of the nozzle when the trigger is pressed there is no pressure at all; any ideas?

For the loss of pressure I guess the most obvious thing to do would be to check the supply hose for kinks, leaks, debris - that sort of thing. Nozzles do get worn out or clogged, too.

But having said that, the complete lack of pressure now may mean that the pressure regulator or the pump itself are worn or damaged. That's a pretty significant repair if you have to go through with it, which makes me ask the question: how old is the pressure washer?
