Assuming it's remaining outdoors, you'll need to sand thoroughly or back to new, prime, paint and then coat everything with polyurethane a month after the painting. The primer and paint needs to fully cure. Another option is to sand and just spray it straight with a multi-purpose Enamel spray paint. This doesn't need a primer or has it built-in and makes its own protective shell.
