I am interested in knowing how many trophies are awarded by societies at their aos judged shows. I'm curious as to special trophies ("The William Somebody Oncidium Award" as well as Best of Class, Best of Show, President's Trophy, etc., and whether these are actual 'trophies' (i.e., other than ribbons, pompom ribbons, etc) such as plaques, cups, plates, or what have you.
I'd love to ask this on the AOS forum as well but there doesn't seem to be an appropriate area for it.
Here is a listing of the trophies that are given out at our society's show each year. These are actual trophies and not ribbons. Ribbon judging is done earlier in the evening and the trophies are given afterwards. The trophies we give are either made of acrylic or glass, depending on the show. Seriously, how large is the society (and where?)and what are dues there? One of the reasons we're looking at this is the expense involved for a small society.
