When truck is running there is no power...when engine is off , theres 101 volts

Some inverters cut off it too much or too little voltage. Check to see how much voltage the alternator is putting out when the truck is running.

Either the alternator puts out too much voltage and has ruined the battery, or it has too much voltage because of a bad battery!

It sounds like the battery has one dead cell. With battery voltage of

10 Volts instead of 12, inverter output is 100 instead of 120.

Read the OP again, then rethink your reply.

Inverters will not put out ANYTHING at 10 volts (battery protection circuit)
